          5. ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION                                               Pulsar      CK   125

                                                  Carburetor Lock Nut
 ENGINE REMOVAL
 Remove the carburetor. (Refer to 4-3.)
 Disconnect the clutch cable.
 · Drain the engine oil before engine
     removal.
   · The exhaust muffler temperature is
     extremely high. Remove it when the
     engine is cold.

                                                     Spark Plug Cap              Lock Nuts
 Remove the two exhaust muffler joint lock
 nuts.
 Remove the exhaust muffler hanger lock nut
 and rear fork pivot nut to remove the exhaust
 muffler.
 Remove the spark plug cap.

                                                     Bolts      Connector          Starter Motor Wire
 Switch the fuel valve OFF and disconnect
 the fuel tube from the fuel valve.
 Remove the seat and fuel tank. (Refer to 4-8.)
 Disconnect the A.C. generator wire
 connector.
 Remove the two left rear crankcase cover
 attaching bolts and the cover.

 Remove the two drive gear set plate
 attaching bolts and the set plate.
 Remove the drive gear and drive chain.
 Remove the gear shift pedal attaching bolt
 and the gear shift pedal.
